DR. Maarten Hajer
Welcome to my personal homepage.
While a lot of information can be found at my professional website at the University of Utrecht or of my team at the website of the Urban Futures Studio, and via my LinkedIn profile you may find this website helpful as well. It stores some items that I like personally but are hard to find at the internet, such as the video work ‘Agree to All’ or some publications meant from smaller audiences but that may interest others as well. It also includes a FAQ section, which provides answers to questions I often get via email. Hope you enjoy browsing the site!
Maarten Hajer is distinguished professor Urban Futures at the Utrecht University since October 2015. Before that he was professor of Public Policy at the University of Amsterdam (1998-2015) and Director-General of the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL – Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving, 2008-2015). Hajer was curator of the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR) in 2016 and of Places of Hope, an exhibition and manifestation that was part of the programme of Leeuwarden/Fryslân Cultural Capital of Europe in 2018
