Maarten Hajer is faculteits-hoogleraar Urban Futures aan de Universiteit van Utrecht sinds oktober 2015. Voor die tijd was hij onder meer hoogleraar Bestuur & Beleid aan de UvA (1998-2015) en directeur van het Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving (PBL, 2008-2015). Maarten Hajer is distinguished professor Urban Futures at the Utrecht University since October 2015.
